Superbowl Gone Paleo


Who doesn’t love the superbowl?!  For one, I love football.  Two, I love snack foods, too!  However, most superbowl parties will have tons of grains, dairy, and processed sugar.  Who’s really thinking about food ingredients when we are watching history?!  NO ONE!  That’s why I wanted to throw out a few superbowl ideas for you to get ingredients for now; that way, everyone will be satisfied minus the food hangover. 😉

Superbowl Menu:

guacamole and salsa with fresh jicama and plantain chips (google will give you tons of ideas to homemake these)

Chili (

Bacon wrapped dates: you can basically just wrap bacon around pitted dates and cook at 375 for 45 minutes.  Feel free to stuff your dates with almonds or sausage. Mmmmm.

Deviled Eggs:

Tuna Salad on jicama or cucumber:

Hot Wings: (I’ve never made these because I don’t like sauces; however, I’ve heard they are awesome!)

Sweet Potato Brownies: (I actually voted for these to win our paleo bake off not too long ago!)

Fresh fruit (you can always fancy it up by putting pieces on skewers or getting one of those edible arrangements)

There ya go, everything from chips and dip, appetizers, one pot entree and dessert!  Not sure I can talk anyone into gluten free beer but believe it or not, Budweiser makes one that most people would NOT notice the difference!
